| Edie: Why do you refer to the outcome of your research as the ‘pH Miracle’? |
Dr. Young: The metaphor? It’s really expressed in the question: If a fish is sick, what do you do? Treat the fish, or change the water? Similarly, ask what your medical doctor would do: Treat the fish, or change the water? Current medical science is not interested in the environment, but only in what they see, not realizing the effects. There’s cause and effect. Cause is the over-acidification of the fluids. The body is constantly trying to eliminate acids from the itself using one of the elimination organs by using sodium bicarbonate to neutralize those acids. That’s why our bodies are salted with sodium. These are things that are not well known or understood. Current medical science has disease confused with the body’s attempt to maintain homeostasis.
Edie: What does the green drink that you created consist of?
Dr. Young: The green drink contains 49 different grasses and leaves and vegetables. I was just talking to a professional body builder who eats no protein whatsoever. He was on steroids for 15 years and he weighed 270 pounds. He didn’t lose a pound of muscle, but he gained muscle and lost 70 pounds of fat. He had been eating up to 800 grams of protein a day. He’s healthier and stronger than he’s ever been in his life.
Edie: Do you find that people who use your products have results like that?
Dr, Young: They do when they get up to higher levels. This gentleman happens to drink 12 liters of the green drink a day. If you want to be healthy, you have to pee your way there. If you’re not peeing, you’re not eliminating acids. You have to literally put the fluids in and yet, he’s peeing less than when he was using ephedra and caffeine to stimulate his body. He’s working out less, yet he’s getting more energy; he ’s peeing less, yet he’s drinking more. He’s saturating his tissues, and when you don’t have a lot of fat on you, you can do that. Through perspiration, a lot of the evaporation comes out of your pores. I generally recommend one liter per 30 pounds of weight. This gentleman’s drinking one liter per 10 pounds of weight. He’s lifting two times what he used to lift. The bottom line is that you do not build muscle with protein, you build it with blood, and you build blood with high chlorophyll content foods. We’ve been deceived about nutrition, and by what the medical industry is telling us. They are focusing on the wrong thing. Nutritionists, whether they’re allopathic or alternative, are focused on the matter, and not on the environment in which that matter is found. It can only be as healthy as the environment around it. That environment has to be alkaline. If not, then our cells break down and we create even more acid and it’s a vicious cycle.
Edie: Is there anything else you’d like to see in the interview that we haven’t touched on?
Dr. Young: It’s quite simple, and you don’t have to be a rocket scientist to understand this. You maintain the purity of the fluid in the body, particularly the blood, and you maintain the integrity of the cells that make up our organs and organ systems. We’re made up of 70 plus trillion cells. The blood becomes bone and muscle. The only ways I know to build good, healthy blood are drinking alkaline fluids, eating high chlorophyll content foods, and eating good, healthy fats that are in the mono, poly and super poly-unsaturated fats that naturally occur in foods like avocado and flax seeds,
Edie: Its sounds like an over-all approach to wellness.
Dr. Young: Definitely. You don’t have to be sick unless you choose to be sick. If you want to be healthy, you have to choose to be healthy. It’s really quite simple.
