Edie: How does it affect the body?

Dr. Young:  Disease is misinterpreted. If people say: cancer, Alzheimer’s or diabetes, what is actually happening is that the body is trying to maintain homeostasis to the fluids in the body. It does that at the expense of many of the organs and organ systems. I’ll give you an example: in the case of osteoporosis, the body is pulling calcium ions from the bones in order to pull it into the fluids of the body in order to maintain the delicate pH of the fluids of the body at 7.365.  It’s not that we determine osteoporosis as a disease, but it’s actually the solution to the real problem, which is over-acidification of the fluids of the body. The body then pulls calcium from the bones in order to neutralize the acidity. This is what causes stones in the body. Calcium deposits actually precede breast cancer. You’ll get micro calcifications of the breast, which is actually neutralization of the acids that are thrown out into the fatty tissues.

 

EdieWhat is the difference between healthy and unhealthy cells?

 

Dr. Young: The environment in which they live. What is the difference between a healthy fish and an unhealthy fish?  The ocean or fishbowl they’re swimming in. If the fishbowl is dirty, you’re going to have an unhealthy fish. If the fluids in the body are dirty, or if you’re over-acidic, you’re going to have unhealthy cells. In reality there is no such thing as a cancer cell; there’s just a healthy cell or an unhealthy cell as determined by the fluids in the body. Cancer’s actually not a cell. It’s actually a liquid.

 

Edie:  So why is that at such odds with mainstream medicine?
 

Dr. Young:  The reason is that mainstream science is focused on what they see. They’re not focused on what they can’t see. They don’t measure the amount of lactic acid or ethanol alcohol in the blood unless you’ve been drinking too much and get pulled over for intoxification. Most people are suffering from intoxication of fluids of the body that is brought on by their acidic lifestyles and diet. The one sickness which is the true cause of all symptomologies is the over-acidicification of the blood, which causes the over-acidification of the tissues, due to a way of living, eating and thinking.

 EdieWhat types of foods are considered alkaline?

 Dr. Young: Alkalizing foods are alive, not overly processed, and low in sugars, such as broccoli, spinach, celery, cucumber. One of the best is the avocado. These are just a few. All the grasses are alkalizing, too: wheat grass, barley grass, straw grass, oat grass. Anything that has high chlorophyll contact and of course, the good healthy fats, such as flax oil and olive oil. All these are excellent at maintaining the fluids of the body and giving the body what it truly needs. What the body’s looking for is the electrical potential of that food, which is found in its concentration of electrons. The electron is the spark of life, and what t he body uses for energy. The very thing that charges our batteries is the food we eat. And, fortunately, like a camcorder, we have a re-chargeable battery. Lithium batteries are loaded and charged with electrons, like the spark of life. We don’t buy acidic batteries, we buy alkaline batteries. When foods are ingested, they are releasing their electrical potential as the spark of life.

 Edie: What types of foods are considered acidic?

Dr. Young: All animal proteins: beef, chicken, pork, even fish. I recommend that we never eat chicken or turkey or pork. Chicken and turkey absorb their own urine, which makes it even worse. Of course, the high sugar foods, like apples, oranges, bananas and pears should be avoided. The low sugar foods like lemons, limes, cucumbers, tomatoes, avocados; these are the best fruits we should be eating. Low sugar, high water content. We should also stay away from over-processed foods, because we lose the electrical potential. You want to go into more green, leafy vegetables.  Things to avoid and never eat: vinegar, soy sauce, mushrooms, algaes.  Dairy products should never be ingested.
